Best ever Tiramisu Milkshake

Tiramisu milkshake. A dessert, but as a shake what more is there to say, except it’s absolutely divine?

tiramisu milkshake

A delicious concotion of marscapone, coffee ice cream and spongefingers in a drink, you have got to try this, at least for my sake.

First things first, this has got to be one of the best shakes I’ve had in a while. Yes, I am a tiramisu lover so I could be biased and I do love coffee, but drinking this made me feel all kinds of happy.  (more…)

Homemade Mr Whippy Ice cream

Insta: @daintycook

Soft white creamy frozen goodness. Not as hard as ice cream, but like frozen whipped cream. For once, I don’t quite know how to describe it’s goodness. We all know how a good Whippy tastes.

So it’s the month of fasting, which means from sunrise up until sunset I can’t eat. This also means I can’t enjoy a Mr Whippy Ice cream when I really want..  (more…)

Churros and Chocolate

Delicious fried choux pastry, slightly crisp on the outside and soft on the inside, dipped in chocolate sauce and cinnamon sugar.
That is all.

I was itching for something sweet, comforting and not too complicated. And I stumbled across this Spanish goodness. So good and it’s great to share with the whole family. Just put on your favourite DVD, huddle on your sofa with friends and family, with enough churros to go around and you’re good to go!

Peanutella Chip Cookies

Chocolate chip cookies made with crunchy peanut butter and somewhat subtle dollops of Nutella, which ultimately ballet on your tongue.
They’re THAT good.

I cannot tell you how much I adore peanut butter. I used to not like it once upon a time. In fact, I despised the very thing. Then came a time where anything found in a jar and could be consumed by a spoon was a huge hit as I started university. Spoonfuls of peanut butter whilst studying for my first year exams had become a ritual. That and having a packet of chocolate fingers to dip in a jar full.

‘Jannat’ in a Jar: AKA Nutella.

In Arabic, ‘Jannat’ means heaven. And to me, that’s exactly what Nutella is. Well any hazelnut spread really, but nothing beats good ol’ Nutella. I just can’t express my love for this chocolatey goodness. On hot toast in the mornings or as a midnight snack, with breadsticks, chappatis even. Anything! The best is, and I’m not ashamed to admit it, getting your fingers dirty and licking them off straight from the jar. It turns all of us into big kids.

Get Loose: Chocolate and Honeycomb Mousse

A chocoholics paradise, this decadent mousse packed with rich honeycomb pieces will surely drive you and your taste buds wild!
Cooling, chocolate fixing, ‘I want more’ you will be gagging.
I love choccy mousse. I can’t even tell you why. It’s just so mmmmmmm *slowly sinks down on the sofa and licks lips* The smooth texture, the rich taste, the sweet fusion of the crunchy honeycomb. It’s just overly seductive for the tongue. Can you get these in the supermarkets? No.

Simply Strawberry Gelato (and a bit of Italy).

Simply Strawberry gelato.

When I think of gelato I instantaneously refer back to my lovely memories of Italy. Prior to my first visit in 2009, I heard a great deal about their gelatos by many who had been there. My dad would go every year for business and would always return praising their food, particularly their creamy confections.

White Chocolate ‘Slab’ Cake.

Encased in white chocolate slabs. Filled and coated with fresh cream and jam, topped with chocolate curls and fresh berries. This show-stopping cake is too much of a stunner for you ot try and make.

Boredom beckoned and my new kitchen called. It was time to start baking again! But what to make? I was in the mood for cake. What kind though? I wanted to create something with an elegant touch, something with chocolate. (more…)
